Grammys Redux

As I write this, the Grammys are on.  I think.  I haven't checked, it might be tomorrow.  I wanted to take some time today to write about the death, last Wednesday, of one of my heroes, Mark E. Smith of the Fall.  But the day got away from me, & I'll need to sit a little bit before I write anything.

Mark E. Smith would never have even been considered for a Grammy - & as an example from the time when he did win an award, it seems pretty obvious he wouldn't have given much of a shit anyway.

Anyway, four years ago, I wrote a blog post about why I don't watch the Grammys.  Maybe it's worth revisiting tonight?
