Whither Jellyfish?

Before I decided to do a show about jellyfish I didn't really know anything about jellyfish. One thing I do know about jellyfish is, many decades ago, splashing around in the Gulf Of Mexico off the coast of Galveston, Texas, I suddenly felt this intense pain on my thigh & hurried out of the water. My leg looked to me like it had been a knife fight. A friend told me, "You've been stung by a jellyfish."

To this day I haven't gone swimming in the ocean. Fool me once!

Why am I years later doing a show about jellyfish? I haven't the slightest idea. Although now I appreciate them more than I did before. They can have the ocean. I don't need to be stung no more.
